HomeKeep Privacy Policy

Last updated September 20, 2026

Public-release policy draft. HomeKeep is in TestFlight. Provider retention settings and final release practices are still being verified; this page must be approved before public App Store submission.

Who operates HomeKeep

HomeKeep by AskSimona is operated by Simona Gamero under AskSimona.com. Contact support@asksimona.com for privacy, access, correction or deletion questions. This policy concerns HomeKeep and this website, not unrelated products.

Account and connected-home information

Account features use your email address, display name, account identifier and sign-in/session information. Connected records may include your home address and region, rooms, equipment, maintenance tasks and history, household membership, non-financial incident descriptions, and the names, phone numbers, email addresses and websites of service contacts you enter. We use these to provide sign-in, synchronisation, household access, maintenance planning and support.

Appwrite Cloud in Frankfurt, Germany provides authentication and connected non-financial storage. Information may be processed outside your country. Household members see supported records according to their roles. We do not import your phone’s address book as a feature.

Financial records and documents stay on the device

Expenses, service prices and billing frequencies, contracts, insurance information, item prices, receipts and documentation are restricted to the native iPhone encrypted vault. They are not uploaded or synchronised to HomeKeep’s cloud. The vault uses backup exclusions. Cloud document uploads are disabled, including photos and manuals. Financial or document storage has no browser, Android or Expo Go fallback.

These records are not shared with household members or recoverable from a HomeKeep cloud backup. Device loss or uninstalling the app can permanently lose them. Keep independent originals. Clear these records in Settings for the relevant home; deleting an account is a separate action. Physical-device and backup-exclusion checks remain part of the beta release verification.

Never enter bank or payment credentials

Do not save bank account numbers, routing or transit details, payment-card numbers, card expiry dates, security codes, PINs, passwords or online banking credentials anywhere in HomeKeep, including notes and attachments. These are not supported records. Forms and document checks reject common patterns, but automated checks cannot recognise every hidden or handwritten secret. Do not put financial amounts or documents into fields intended for cloud-synced non-financial content.

Files, permissions and local data

Camera, photo-library and file permissions support files you choose. Imported images are resized without original metadata and PDFs are flattened to page images rather than stored as exact originals. Notification permission supports optional reminders. You can manage permissions in iPhone Settings. Ordinary guest records and preferences are stored locally and may be included in operating-system backups; the protected vault is separate.

Technical records and support

Hosting and authentication services process request and security information such as IP addresses, timestamps, response status and device/browser information. Backend application logging is disabled; this does not eliminate provider operational logs. Provider log, email and backup retention periods require final confirmation before public release. Support messages are handled through the support email provider; do not send financial documents or credentials.

This website has no advertising pixels, analytics scripts, contact form or marketing sign-up. Its hosting provider may process normal access and security logs. The reviewed HomeKeep build does not implement advertising, cross-app advertising tracking or an AI service receiving home records.

Purchases

Purchases and the RevenueCat integration are disabled. Any future subscription offering requires updated disclosures before activation. Apple and a purchase service may process transaction identifiers if that feature is introduced; this would require a separate decision about the financial-data policy. HomeKeep must not collect bank or card details.

Retention, deletion and choices

Connected information is kept to provide the service until removed, subject to shared-home arrangements, necessary security records and applicable legal requirements. Use Account to delete your account. Transfer ownership first when you are the only owner of a home with other members. An opaque deletion marker may remain to prevent interrupted deletion from restoring access. Deleting an account does not clear separate guest or vault records. See account-deletion instructions.

Contact support to request access, correction or deletion, or discuss withdrawing consent. We may verify account ownership. Withholding information necessary for a feature can prevent that feature working. Information may be disclosed if required by law or needed for a legitimate security matter. We do not promise absolute security or end-to-end encryption of cloud records.

Children and changes

HomeKeep is intended for adults managing a home, not as a children’s service. Contact us if you believe a child has supplied information without appropriate authorisation. Material changes to practices will be communicated as required. The final policy will state its effective date after release review.
