HomeKeep Terms of Use

The service

HomeKeep by AskSimona is operated by Simona Gamero under AskSimona.com. It helps organise home maintenance, equipment, records and your own service contacts. Features differ by platform and whether you sign in. The current release uses Canadian province/territory selections and CAD service-price entries.

Not professional or emergency advice

Suggested tasks and reminders do not replace equipment manuals, inspections, qualified professionals or independent checks of deadlines. HomeKeep does not diagnose equipment, monitor emergencies, guarantee safety, or provide legal, financial or insurance advice. For gas, electrical, roofing or other hazardous work, use a qualified professional. Contact local emergency services for emergencies.

Accounts and appropriate use

Use an email account you control and protect your sign-in access. Do not impersonate others, access homes without permission, bypass security, upload unlawful material or infringe others’ rights. Household owners are responsible for assigning appropriate access. The service is intended for adults who can enter an agreement where they live.

Your records

You retain your rights in information you provide. You must have permission to provide other people’s details. For connected features you choose, you permit the processing needed to store, transmit and display supported non-financial information and provide household access. Removing access cannot recall another person’s downloaded copies.

Financial records, prices, expenses, contracts, insurance and all documents are restricted to device-only storage in the supported native iPhone vault, with cloud-backup exclusion. Do not put them into cloud-synced fields. Never enter bank accounts, payment cards, security codes, PINs or banking credentials, even into local fields. Imported images and PDFs may be transformed; preserve independent originals. Device loss or uninstalling can permanently lose device-only records. See the Privacy Policy.

Contacts, reminders and third parties

Your saved service contacts are your own address book, not vetted recommendations. HomeKeep does not book or guarantee a contractor’s services. Phone, Messages, email and website actions open other services; you decide whether to proceed. Third-party services have their own terms. Check important dates independently: permissions, connectivity and software problems can affect reminders.

Price and future purchases

The owner has selected a free initial download. Paid in-app purchases are not enabled. Any future paid feature must show its price, billing period, renewal and cancellation terms before purchase. These terms do not authorise an unannounced charge. Store purchases, if introduced, are also governed by the relevant store rules.

Availability and leaving

Service may be interrupted for maintenance, security or technical reasons. Uninterrupted operation or compatibility with every device is not promised. Use Account for account deletion; shared homes may require ownership transfer first. Uninstalling is not account deletion. Local records must be managed separately. Contact support if you need assistance.

Your rights and contact

Nothing in these terms excludes rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded. Apple’s applicable software licence and store terms also apply to downloads; these service terms do not replace mandatory Apple terms. Material changes will be communicated as required.
